Not sure of any offhand. I have done some Google searching on this matter and all point to the same thing.......increasing the memory allocated in php.ini.
Do you have anything on your site that may consume large amounts of memory. (Doesn't have to be very large as php defaults to just 8MB of allocated memory.) Maybe graphics, or anything. You may try to disable to run the installer.
As an alternative you could attempt to install the sql file through PHPmyadmin.
