Hi, I have this problem now; XOOPS doesn't send me any e-mails for activations for new user registration. It used to work fine but 2 weeks ago it stopped, I changed the registration but now I can't take it no more, I have to have it work... I tried with hotmail and my site e-mail address but nothing works. Any idea what it could be?

I use XOOPS 2.0.18.2
on the admin site system/general settings/ the e-mail address and my e-mail address are same and it's set to send e-mail to admin who is me...

help plz

If you have webmail for you domain, then these settings usualy work:
Method: SMTP
Path: /usr/sbin/sendmail
(To verify, this is indicated in your site admin panel)
Host: localhost
(localhost is literally the word localhost and NOT an alias for an ip or hostname)
User: This is the username for logging in with webmail, has the form of an email address.
Password: Password for webmail.
From address: the same as user.
From name: to choose

With webmail on a domain, there are different levels. There is a login from the site admin panel, which uses the site admin name and password and gives access to all email boxes.
And there is a seperate login for each box. These box' credentials are to be used above.
