yes i've noticed this too in XOOPS 2.0.9, it's caused me quite a bit of work when editing x-ipbm core files, as i was unaware of the problem in this topic till a little earlier, and i kept checkin the files but couldn't see a problem in my editing.. finally realised there were double the amount of templates in the blocks section.. so i removed them and did an update of the modules and it solved my problem and i realise the edited files do actually work lol.

hopefully a proper fix will be out soon :)

the problem is that , if you update the same module once again , you will have double tempaltes, and it doesn't make new templates at once!

that's right.. i removed all the templates from the DB - tplfile table so it was empty.. i then went to admin and updated the system module so as to compile new templates, and it did exactly the same.. instead of being 26 templates as usual in the system templates.. it creates 38 templates.. basically the system templates are fine, but the block templates are all being doubled!!
