Hello,
I just downloaded webphoto.

Installing it....what a headache.

I read the readme_en.txt
but I cant make too much sense out of it.
there is a xoops_trust_path and a html folder....but what goes where?

I only upload through FTP upload and to sort out what comes where....impossible because of poor description.

I moved the webphoto folder from the xoops_trust_path/modules into my modules folder, but then, when I want to install the module I get an error!!!

In general the description how to install it seems to be incomplete and difficult to understand english.

The main thing is that this is a "D3" module, i.e. it uses "XOOPS_TRUST_PATH". For more info about it see here

To install these modules, you have to have defined first the "XOOPS_TRUST_PATH".

Then copy content of the /webphoto/xoops_trust_path over there

Then copy content of the /webphoto/html/modules to your main /modules subdirectory.

Then go to Admin, and install that module

I finally got it.
Thanks a lot.
was that a difficult birth.
That was really COMPLICATED!

I think the module is working fine.
Now I have to find out how to get rid of some unnecessary stuff displayed.
see example....

all that huge list and the Canon links and stuff thats not really useful.
Someone who knows how to get that COMPUTED stuff out and the rest of the list?

I'm still stuck getting it installed!

I'm using 2.3.0 RC with PHP 4.3.9.

Did everything above to install as a D3 module...

PROBLEM, XOOPS DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE MODULE...

What's up?

In 2.3 try to put the files from /webphoto/xoops_trust_path into /xoops_lib directory on your server

It should be in the "Preferences", probably related to the EXIF info (if yes, then turn it off)

You should put the folder you find in HTML/modules/ into your modules directory.
Then You have to enter cpanel, file manager...or ftp site access and create a new folder at the place where you can see the public_html folder. Into that goes the modules folder from your xoops_trust_path.
later you still have to edit that PHP file and define what xoops_trust_path means.

I think for normal people who just like to have their website installing that kind of module is incredibly complicated....too complicated.
