Hi,
I am running XOOPS 2.0.18.1 on a test server, use this to demo new mods and to learn/practice coding.

problems with KOIVI AND FCKeditor.

I have install xoopseditor 1.2 package. and have had

first KOIVI:

I can not insert any image with koivi using the XOOPS image manager.

had problems with the tools not showing the right text.
so I add a include line to get the language file connected to formwysiwygtextarea.php.

Quote:
include_once(dirname(__FILE__) . '/editor_registry.php');

but have not resolve the image problem yet.

now for the FCKeditor:

I cannot get the upload manager to work, every time it loads I get this ERROR, this links to screen shot of the error.

thanks for any help.

Is there a download section for wysiwyg editor here on xoops.

If not there should be.

An essential part of the Koivi installation is a modified version of a template file that enables you to use the image manager with it.

You'l find some details about this in this thread.

If the template file is not included in the latest XOOPS Editor package (I don't know because I don't use it) then someone has overlooked an important file inclusion.

I vaguely recall a thread about using FCKEditor's own image manager feature. You may find some info by searching the forum.

You can get the xoopseditors and Frameworks packages from DJ's site here:

http://xoopsforge.com/modules/wordpress/index.php/149

Don't use the spaw editor - it has security issues.

You can download TinyEditor here (download nr. 13) or here (Herve's version, it supports more languages but the class is missing).
TinyEditor is based upon TinyMCE, but is more user friendly for xoopsers.
It also supports XOOPS ImageManager, XOOPS Quotes and XOOPS Code.

That package doesn't appear to include 'system_imagemanager.html'. The distro needs updating IMHO. Easy image manager integration is one of Koivi's strengths.

Now the package is complete, I have just updated it.

I have confused about which editor to use!

I was thinking FCK but is it true that TinyMce can let you insert images from XOOPS image manager. If so that has to be the one. Can someone please advise?

Thank you.
