Yes, I am one of the poor souls with the 2.2.x branch. I searched for an update from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5 RC but only found the full version of 2.2.5

Can I just upload all the files from that minus the main configuration file and upate it from the system module?

Yes, that's how I upgraded from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5-RC2.

In addition to upgrading the system module from the modules admin page, also upgrade the profiles module; that may not be necessary, but it won't hurt anything.

Of course if you have any hacks, you'll have to manually port them.

And as always, do a complete backup (database + files) first.

Where can I find the full version of 2.2.5? So far, I've only found the 2.2.5 RC2. Is that the latest release?

TIA!

2.2.5 RC2 is the latest version of the 2.2.x branch. It's a full version, not an upgrade.

Note that if you're currently using 2.0.x, or if this is a new install, it's generally recommended that you use 2.0.16, not the 2.2.x branch.

Thanks for the replies! I really appreciate it. I forgot to add the RC as that is the latest full version for the
2.2 branch.

Thanks, Dave. I am using 2.2.4 on two sites (highly customized) so I will have to test 2.2.5 before deciding to use. Any advice on where I can find out what files have changed since 2.2.4 or am I out of luck on that one?

Thanks again.

As always, I used Beyond Compare to compare the files between the two versions and merge in my hacks.

A lot of files had changed, but it seemed as if most of the changes were limited to the CVS/SVN $Id$ line. I wish they would stop messing with that. Only a small number of the files were ones that I had customized, so it wasn't too difficult to upgrade.

Thanks, Dave! Most of my hacks are to the profile module and a few system block files and system templates so I'm sure I have my work cut out for me. Thanks for the link to the compare tool also.

Is there a "change-log" somewhere ?
I customized 2.2.4 to it's bones ... got to see if it's worth the effort ...

I would be interested in a change log as well.
