Frederico Caldeira Knabben = fck...so cheesy yet still funny. that editor is very clean looking too. sort of reminds me of yahoo mail's editor.

The next version will make it possible to integrate any WYSIWYG editor into XOOPS. Currently, there is a project for the Kiovi Editor, that's an excellent cross-browser editor too. Other editors like the KFC Editor can be added to the list later, by anyone.

Hi adwin,
i'm integrating FCKEditor 1.6 (only IE 5.5> compatible)
I'm also trying to make a hack that will allow to open images in a new pop-up,but i'm having troubles since i'm not a coder.
Note that the editor itself is already integrated,i miss the popup feature.
Anyone available for a helping hand?
I plan to release this hack once finished.

Good news !

Where can I find more information on the way this goal will be achieved and how to contribute by developing new "integrations" of WYSIWYG editor in the coming weeks?

Thank you !

Nice to know. I may sound stupid but where can I find this "version" ? Is it a kernel modification, a new set of modules, etc. ???

The XOOPS 2.1 Core will have a simple to use API that will instantiate a configured editor. If I'm correct (but don't hold me to it), no changes will have to be made to any of the modules. Skalpa promised to write some explanatory documents soon(ish).

I have FCKeditor working with my WF-Sections. I like it on the back-end admin side of my site. On the front-end side though there are some major glitches. If registered users want to input through FCKeditor on the front-end then they find that the width of the text input window cuts off on the right-hand side. Has anyone else experienced this problem with FCKeditor?
