Humm...

After 3 years, for sure there's a lot of stuff to improve.
It seems that some of you need urgently some eye-catch stuff
to keep your customers confident and seduce new ones...

I thought that could be professionals matter to ensure
of a solid base. Alike Garrath suggestions to fix core kernel classes; or sql requests, template admin, etc.

That send you back to 'proposal management' as this project is base on software from and to human being and there's a lack of vision due to some factories pollution.

While the core is fixed and O.O. improved you can easily rely on Xoops Hack module for such eye-cath stuff. It also keeps safe core compatibility avoiding further hacks.

Well. I just wonder if you could move on and develop under
such pressures and such noisy polluted environment!?

Finally, i hope you feel confortable selling what looks like a Ferrari but has a 2CV motor inside.

Hi!

These days I have more ideas than time to develop them, but I've been thinking this: It would be terribly useful to be able to audit XOOPS DB activity. Having this, you would be able to recover an old version of an article, check who modified what, etc.(...)
Suggestions? Ideas?

Did you check Pico option 'diff' ?

You can define how many revisions are stored in DB

Come on, this thread has soon 20 pages.
Everybody can react and comment here.

Googledocs all apps are very intuitive,
to use on a further step. When time to write
technically stuff will require a collaborative
work. While that, things can be done here.

The only power we need, is power to create
new solutions.

Hi Darcy,

Thanks to make it 'so clear'

The project relies on everyone. A developer code without UI design is useless for end-user.

Based on the orpheus model, developers, designers and users are part of the same 'community'. All equally contributing : code, design, bugs report, critics, ideas, etc.

These days I saw some users developing and reporting issues with core. Both contributing as users but with developers skills. Get it!?

Also the human being proposal is not sequential but concurrential. Sequential behavior allows only one event to happen at a time. With concurrent behavior, multiple events may occur simultaneously. That said, focus on development goal and don't split resources all around the tree branches.

The second model is for the core and not to improve concurrential reading/writing on sourceforge but to provide a better data consistency. That's also why i support DJ initiative to merge 2 and 2.2 and ForMuss with XOOPS Hack as it may help in future to reduce the gap with others...

But lets focus on the first step. Since it stills a manually synchronize concurrential and its human beings who made the second

Dissolution of xoops.org ??
Where is the community ??
The end users ??

I'm sure there's a misunderstood !

But, what are you saying?
Do you want to divide to better reign? Again and again?

Isn't this a development project around a 'core=code'?
Isn't that 'core=code' the community is looking for?

And isn't the goal of these proposals to create a good
open source environment for developers and community ?

So, why don't you keep using the forums and keep it open?

Sorry,

It's not the domain or the team or any individual.
First make evolve your mind, think different, and
this may evolve

Creating such limited environment, you're limiting
contributions and minimize chances to get a solution.

Last, if it's about community-driven, the community is here,
xoops.org provides place enough for Freedom of speech

Humm...

Is there a need to create such situation?
Where only a few guys have privileges?
Why don't you do it here, at xoops, org, on the forums?
Everyone is concerned and can at any time contribute?

This thread is a good example of the proposal (team=member)
Resized Image

Proof of concept

Some proposed a model. We all read those big textes,
some times misunderstanding the meaning and for many
other users it was completely understandable.
At some point, Gtop has decided to represent it visually.

"A picture is worth a thousand words"

Such organigram resume in a seen all the long lines.
And everybody is able to understand each proposal.

At anytime, any 'anonymous' reading the thread can get a better idea,
see an improvement, then login and make this evolve to the best of all.

That's life ! Quite often solutions come from where you don't expect.
Some others would say that ideas are in the air.
So it is up to everyone to get it expressed.
People only need freedom to share experiences.

One or another is not available and you're stuck!
While that some good stuff is gone, like air

To conclude you're creating privileges and... limitations!
You don't have to re-create what we all experiment in all day life.
It is up to everyone to innovate !

Set it free!

Hi

Yes. It is what i'm doing

Model l1 is human being, a solid base for innovation and creativity!

Model l2 is for the core = code development.

Sorry, I should have specified that the Core was inspired by Ogre (in terms of code design and development). If some has free time to contribute, goggle for 'proof of concept' of l1 and l2
