AceFTP Freeware is much better IMO.
My SmartFTP always kept disconnecting when uploading many files.

Group Communication Options?

hmmmm, let's see here...

I am trying to think of a way to allow a group to communicate. Mind you, these people have never used a cms or forum before. Therefore I have to gradually get them used to forums.

The method used right now is a Yahoo Groups Email service.

I am first wondering, as anyone ever seen a module that would work like Yahoo Groups for xoops?

I was then thinking of using the Notifications options for new posts in a forum. Is it possible to set a group to by default be set to receive these notifications by email without the user having to set it himself.

If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to post them.

Thanks.

Note: the admin theme does not go in the /theme folder, hence probably the confusion in the install. SImply upload to files from the root of your xoops, it will overwrite the files in the folder mentionned in the above post.

I use this them on all my sites, love it.

Java chat usually are not very good.

I really suggest you look into the ircmod and connect to an irc channel. Much better chat method.

You can test it from my site.

I run multisite also. But from my limited knowledge, cookies are saved under the domain name hence making it unusable on another domain. So I haven't done much with it either. Did try the session thing with no go.

Hope someone can enlighten us here...

Well answered my own question, I guess!!

By also putting the full url in the Flash movie was I able to get the link to the xml file working.

Cheers.
