SmartShare for XOOPS CMS

SmartShare is a flexible XOOPS module that adds social sharing buttons and meta tag integration to your website. It supports a wide range of platforms and includes an admin interface for customization.

Features

Social media sharing buttons for 25+ platforms
Local share count tracking (optional)
Choose between round or square icon styles
Configurable icon order and number of visible buttons
Easy template integration using <{$smartshare_icons}>
Post-share popup with follow links
Admin panel for full control over settings
Includes a "Follow Us" block
Help system with guidance on sharing and meta tags

Installation

Upload the smartshare/ folder to your XOOPS modules/ directory.
Log in to the XOOPS administration area.
Install the module via the Modules admin.
Go to Preferences to configure platforms, appearance, and popup behavior.

Usage

To display share icons on your site, place this in any XOOPS template:

I’d like to report that on the xoops.org site, the “Modules → modules@github” menu doesn’t work. And in the personal area, the private messages module doesn’t work either.

Probably doable, and anyone who needs it can just take the code and do it.. That's why open source is so great :)

Hi, I needed a meme generator for a site to make better impressions of article images when posting to social media, so I made a very easy to use one. It has a "promo block", language files (I use it with different languages), and you can decide if you want to have a watermark added or not from Admin.

I will add more mudules to Github later :)

The XOOPS 2.7.0 includes already support for Smarty 5, so sharing your experiences with us will be very much appreciated!

Support for Doctrine and LDAP-related methods, I know that we had Doctrine already included in XOOPS 2.6.0, so we'll try to downport it to XOOPS 2.7.0 or to XOOPS 4.0. I'm not sure if LDAP was also included in XOOPS 2.6.0, but it would be definitely nice to add it.

But it will be the decision of Nicolas as the Core Team Leader.

Honestly, I didn’t think it would even be possible to integrate this into Xoops, especially since it’s missing support for Doctrine and LDAP-related methods.

If anything were to be included, I think the best candidates would be the Smarty v5 - related extensions I’m currently working on. They’re designed to make upgrading Smarty easier and could potentially replace most of the current Xoops Smarty v3 plugins. That said, they probably won’t be ready for at least another month.
