We don't plan to add any new features to 2.5.8 - it is pretty much in maintenance mode, i.e. we will make sure that it is compatible with PHP 5.6.x, and fix any security issue, if they happen. We might add some very minor changes/improvements, but only if they don't impact existing modules.

What do you think of including in the core url rewrite in XOOPS 2.5.8?
In some modules as publisher, fmcontent, xnews already exists, it would be very useful add it directly into the core to attract more users to Xoops.

Solved! `set_id`, was an oversight because I added after the field
I'm rewriting much duplicated code into a single function.
Likely to be due to an error in some file, the line 146 is a comment, and other code could be due to other factors
