Hello,

Thank you for the reply. I liked your suggestion for subscription module, however in this case, of a church - no one would need to manually subscribe.

PHP Members now appears to be a solution for what this parish needs (as far as their lists go)...

Their need is to have a parish list and misc. address list - and each person or members linked to a group.

www.phpmembers.com looks like a good solution. Has anyone used it before?

Many thanks for the reply.

This xoops site, is just for key people of a Church.. Rector, Wardens who will act as a Administrator or User - which will gain them (and only them) access to the Xoops site.

It is them who will need a log-in panel to enter a user name/password to 'get in' to see relevant information.

As for the icons - I understand this is dependant on which module to install? Icons for pdf, email, print etc.

Another site / public site (non member) is been set up by Wordpress.

Hello,

Never Mind - Not Relevant any more

Thank you to all those who have replied... Has anyone used PHP MEMBERS ?

(Please note the updated question)..

An excellent solution is that of: PHP Members (phpmembers.com)

I can add a script code to my theme.html file, so a log in panel can be evident on the main page of my xoops site. Rather than doing this, I wonder if a menu button can be added ?

How do I get a menu link?

This is my idea:

Have a menu button called "Lists" - then link a menu button List to php members log in panel.

Would I have to install a custom menu module?

Once this is set up, I understand PHP Members would be a excellent solution for a Church parish list and so they can edit, change, add and select a group per person/member also.

Any help greatly appreciated + Urgently would be fantastic.

Thankyou for the reply.

On my site currently a menus is viewable for those who do not log in. How do I make it so only "logged in" people see this? Before they log in - it is blocked.

I have 2 menus on the left side of my site. The top for me webmaster/admin access and the bottom menu which is a menu of modules.

This menu / module menu I would like to make private, until someone logs in.

Can this be done?, and if so how?

Then on the main front page I'd like to have a user log in page only, with maybe a small link for only me - webmaster to loig into the 'back-end'

thank u so much, look forward to any replies - and quicly please.

Hi All,

On the bottom of some Xoops pages (for a user / visitor) they have a print button, a pdf button, email button etc.

Buttons or Icons

How do they "get them there", or is there a specific module for this? Or it is only dependant on certain pages ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Also, is there any way to change it from "Become a client" - to something like: "Add a Parishionier" ?

Hi All,

After much research - it seems that SmartClient will do what I want for the Parish List (Church).

Can you please tell me if a name can be submitted to a group by this module?

I.E. If a name Mr. David Adams can be associated or linked to the group Coffee, Sunday School, Vestry Etc.

Please advise.

Many thanks.

Hello,

Can you please tell me if the Smart Client & Church Management module, will allow for a Rector or key people in the parish to make changes - edit, change, delete.

Also, will a user or administrator be able to add the name to a group or category ?

Hi All,

Can it be done, so the User panel with user name / password is the MAIN page of the site ?

How do you set that up ?

The page I mean is located in /modules/profile/user.php

Many thanks
