I want to install the new forum. I never worked with newbb before or even with forum software. On the development site there are 2 versions and I don't known which one i have to download?

I've installed the news 1.3 module. Now i want to delete the print, mail afriend and pdf function. I dit change the news_archive.html and news_article.html in the templates directory but without result. The icons and links are still there! Who has a solution? Thanks.

mail() function disabled

My hosting has disabled the mail() function. Is there an alternative to use? I don't know the path to the sendmail command on my server, because phpinfo has been disabled to! When i use a smtp server the program doesn't send emails.
Hopefully, someone has a solution.
