No prob. I went through several content mods before setteling on this one. It is not perfect. There are some limitations.

There should be an "All Pages" option in the Visible in selection for the block.

I use a varient of Tinycontent (Nickname Tiny-D) It is tiny content duplicated to allow for multiple main menu entries.

Check out your mainfile.php and make sure it is OK. If it isn't it would cause that error.

Tinycontent will do for you.(So will wf-sections, cj-content, and any other content manager)

It will create a main menu entry, and allow you to create HTML pages through the admin interface.

Create a custom block(or blocks) for a home page and set the start module to none.

Actually that should be plenty of room for the DB.

As for files as mentioned in the post above, most modules either keep files in files not DB. Those that do offer DB storage for files will likely have the choice of file or DB.

Choose file. Better performance.
