I just installed addresses mod last night to look at the code.
Just now I made a test category and placed this info in:


Name: test uk yahoo
Address URL: http://uk.yahoo.com
Contact name a
Function a
Contact Email: a
Street and P.O.Box Address a
Zip code a
City a
Country a
Telephone a
Fax a
Cell phone a
Comment a

I go to the mod and click the url, it works fine.
Did you place the Http:// in the url?

Try something like this.
I have been having problems myself, so this only suggestion.

Hello,
you can go one step further. Have you noticed that when you click a graphic link there is a gray dotted line around it?

To get rid of that annoying gray outline use the on focus..........

example.



You can take out the target="_blank", that just open new window.

No more gray dotted line on click.

Cosmetic changes are finished.
The original XOOPS Contact module with an admin area to place additional information above the contact form, like, address, phone number, hours of operation, etc. Just unzip and upload to module folder. Install through XOOPS Admin. Change additional information through ArchContact Admin. This is a merging of contact mod and impressum mod. A small step for myself to better understand the workings of the XOOPS Core Functions, Admin Files and Smarty Templates.

This is just an update to the contact mod the originally comes with Xoops. I am trying to make mods that use the core fuctions and smarty templates. That is how this mod came to being. I can make complex PHPNuke mods, but lack the skills of using smarty templates. This is just a small step for me. Thats all. Nothing fancy. Trying to get the hang of using the Core Fucntions, instead of rewriting things. Many core functions of XOOPS are not even being used.

Hello,
Well I went and did it.
A contact us module.
It is the contact us mod that comes with xoops, with an admin area to place extra info above form, like address, phone number hour of operation, etc.
Uses core functions, smarty templates no extra db tables needed to store info.
I will release here in 3-4 hours. Still have some cosmetic tweaking to do for first release.
