I am using the mod xdirectory and if I have a category called Carpentry, and I do a site search for Carpentry, I get nothing back unless the word carpentry appears in the description of a listing. Is there any way to make the category (Carpentry) get listed when doing a search?

Thanks.

I think maybe the file is now called
xoops.js

I changed the link in the file bottom.php to
include/xoops.js and it works.

Maybe the file xoopsjs.php was used in XOOPS 1.3.x
and in XOOPS 2.0.x it is called
xoops.js

To be able to see the changes you need to go into adminisration>-Preferences>-General settings
then look for

Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?

Set this to yes until all of your changes are made

and if you make changes in the Templates section of your module you need to update the module to see the changes.

Hope this helps.

I Found a work around, if anyone needs to know,
I went into the file
xdirectory/templates/xdir_link.html

line 13
it ends like this: alt='<{$lang_visit}>'<{$lang_url}></a><br>

I changed to this:
alt='<{$lang_visit}'>Website</a><br>

Now instead of displaying the web site URL, it just gives a link that says Website.

Any ideas? I need it to wrap or only show so much of the link.

you could go to the top of the theme.html file in whatever theme you are using.

Sounds like they either don't have php installed or they blocked the php on their server. Might want to look for another host.

A wild guess would be to try adding

.script

at the end of the index.php files of the main directory and the modules/news/index.php files and maybe even the mainfile.php and see if anything happens.
so the files would look like this:
index.php.script
mainfile.php.script

If that doesn't help maybe someone else can be of more help.

I am using xdirectory and when someone submits a url for their site, if it is long it widens the screen so you need to scroll sideways, anyone know how I can make the url go into two lines instead of one long line. Thanks in advance.
