I actually found a link to another page in another post in this forum

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1247454&group_id=41586&atid=430840

I accessed the xoops_config in the databse and found the referenced DEBUG part.

Mine was already set to "1" ... so switching it to "0" fixed my problem.

At least I can access everything Hopefully it will all work right now

Thank you ...

I actually had to change the "1" to "0" to get it to work. My site seems fine now. WHEW!?!?!?!

Okay ... I admit ... I made a few errors.

I DID NOT backup my site before upgrading to 2.2
I uploaded the new files BEFORE I tried to turn on the phpdebug ... instead of turning on the debug and then uploading the files.

Long & short of it is ... now I am totally screwed ... SNAFU ... FUBAR'd ... whatever you want to call it.

I did the upgrade ... no error mssges of course but it seemed to go OK. I did the refresh and hit the submit button and I got all the upgrade details as it went along. But then lost all the blocks & menus from my site ... went into Admin and nothing was working right there. So I exited my browser and then tried again. When I went back in ... I only got the header and could not access Admin at all ... blank page.

Is there any way I can recover from this without losing all my database info?

All input & suggestion GREATLY appreciated

Peter

Globetrotter module for XOOPS? I was looking for something like what this module has been described as but I found nothing in the Modules Repository under that name and a search of this site for that name only came up with this thread.

Where can I download the module?

Thanks
Peter

Thanks again Gambero ... and Thank you Herko ...

Your responses are going a long way in helping to keep me calm. Well ... at least a little calmer.

There is only one module that I use that I would say is probably extremely out dated but there have been no updates to it. So, I am assuming that if the other modules that I use at least, as long as I keep them updated to the newest and most recent versions, then I "should", in all likelihood, be okay to upgrade when 2.2 stable release is issued. Whether they state they are 2.2 compatible or not. Most of them have had their latest releases within the past few months ... and most have been developed by members who seem to be respected here for their work ... like AMS, Smart modules and GIJOE ... so I am probably safer than some (maybe most)

Thanks again for your assurances and patience

Peter

Thanks Gambero ...

BUT ... will XOOPS 2.2 come with a list naming the 10% of the modules that won't work? Or would I just have to "take a chance" and hope the modules I have installed wlll continue to work?

Peter
