The links are in the main menu at the side in the home page.
Maybe it should get a submenu in about XOOPS as Links. Maybe also the YAXS section could be there.
In XOOPS France they have a script to verify the links and set them invisible if they seem no longer XOOPS sites (based on generator meta and footer link). Maybe we have to run it here also once.
There is a new module repository in preparation.
I would like that there was some system in it so that you could use a link query to it as ?module=ModuleName and that would lead you always to the current version.
In the module data there is a link to the previous version and also a link to an upcoming release (alpha, beta, rc for test).
Eventually also a link to extended/patched module variations.
In the preferences you could set the current version of these versions.
If I designate the module as "Archived", it won't show up anymore in the regular category.
Listings in the Module Repository are updated regularly by the Repository Team to display the latest information.

And, yeah, I've played with Drupal and Joomla (and its predecessor Mambo) among several others and when it comes to making real customization changes, and managing a set of sites overall, I've felt that XOOPS rocks and focuses on the functional details we need to be able to rely upon.
I'll take over the xyp4all contacts listing module (available from the development site) as I suspect I'm one of the few who uses it. Development stopped at v1.58RC1 and the original dev (GnikNalu) isn't about any more - tried to find/contact him without success.
Let us know which modules don't work and why they are necessary for you and the working of your website?
