Thanks a lot for all the help i have received from the XOOPS community members. Its because of this great cms and the community that i have been able to create this site. Please review this site and let me know what else should i do to make it more useful for the visitors.

I m still looking for a video module that will play youtube as well as videos on my server, rest is almost final, so please let me know your views about the site.

1. See the Smarty manual. You can set the date format in Preferences. Try this: d/m/y

2. You have to extract these from the database table xoopstube_videos with the SELECT command and add them to the array in the blocks-file. After this you've to mod the html-templates.

Which module should i use?

I need a module which can play videos which are
1. stored on my server
2. from youtube, facebook etc

I have checked webshow .61 but there seems to be a problem with youtube videos as it displays only in the right bottom corner of the player and not the whole player. Also only a part of the video.

Suggest which module should i use. Thanks

Thanks, but thats not what i want, sorry for not being clear.
What i mean is say there are two blocks, main menu and user menu. In the first theme i want user menu to appear in left column and main menu in right column, and in the second theme i want both user menu and main menu to appear in the left block.

I have the theme block active on my site. What i want is on one theme there should be both the left and right block, where as on the other theme every thing should be in left block only. Is this possible?

I have almost no knowledge of php and some what decent knowledge of html, i like XOOPS a lot for the fact that its by far the most user friendly cms for a non-coder. I will like to contribute to XOOPS development in anyways possible. So do let me know.

I have read a couple of post about Damaster(i only know what i have read), but if its true that he hacked into peoples account, thats a very serious issue friends. Because this in itself considered a crime in many countries. Even i think nominating him to the committee is a very wrong, in fact he still not being banned is a cause of concern here. Its common sense to not allow people like him to get away with their wrongs. Again i dont know Damaster personally, so if the post i had read about him were wrong then i take all my words back.

And please let me know if theres a way i can help.

All i can say is "of everything that i have read about the teams, representatives, leaders etc etc.... the suggestion given by sailjapan is probably the best."


Lets rise above our ego to help XOOPS become the best cms, which in my personal opinion is what it deserves to be.

Pls help me in selecting a module for static content on my site. The basic requirement is content will be divided in hierarchy order, i.e. categories and pages under these categories, and the pages so published should have their own meta tags and meta descriptions.

cbb 3.08 and rss

i have just installed cbb 3.08 and made some forums in it.
on the index page of the module there is a rss link after every forum. when i click on the rss link it shows an eror

"XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location:http://makingdestiny.com/modules/newbb/rss.php?f=2
Line Number 1, Column 1"

can some1help with this pls.
