Thats very kind.

I also have no idea how to find your project page and where to post that.

I searched for XOOPS Dynamic Web CMSand it gives me loads of search results and as soon as I open one I am logged out.

sourceforge is no fun, maze-like, you never find what you want and incredibly slow to navigate from my place here in Singapore. Every page needs a minute to open form here.

Hi,
I put a lot of effort into launching a Feature Request,
I registered a name, put in the cookie settings for sourceforge.net, went to the page, ...
I was logged out
I logged in again...from the submit site,
error: ERROR - No group_id was chosen.
logged in again,
went to the link
I was logged out again....

at the end I made various attempts to log in and to post the request, but after trying hard it all failed.

Sourceforge is such an user unfriendly place. It doesnt work properly and if you search for something you can be sure you cant find it.

I tried to enter following text at sourceforge:
Quote:
For XOOPS 2.x and future versions:

It is difficult/inconvenient to scroll through the scoopscode colour picker, scrolling down a long list:
....where is my color...where is my colour...??
It would probably be easier to have a colour picker like that one described in my post at XOOPS.ORG
Here you can find the post I made:

It would probably be easier to have a colour picker like that...see attached image, all at one glance, hidden in a hidden DIV, appearing on demand.

besides having the xoopscode buttons going automatically into the selected text it could be interesting if there was an option for people to make their own xoopscode.

How can I make it work for the place where I have just installed XOOPS 2.0.18.2?
any reason why it works here in the forum and nowhere else?
the xoops.js files seem to be the same everywhere.

I just found that the inserting of XOOPS code works only here in this forum nice and dandy.
In the Private Messenger here it already doesnt work.

What I found is that I have tried to install it on two pages hosted by 3ix.org.
On one page it works fine, just using the downloaded virgin version of XOOPS2.0.18.2, and on the other one it doesnt.
So it has more likely to do with the server setting.
see here the difference:
works:http://www.binaarta.com/portal1
error:http://www.22-ice.com/portal

I explained it all to the server company and I guess they try to fix that in the next couple of hours.

*still shaking my head why things can work on one page but not on the other using the same web hosting provider*

OK, I have downloaded it, uploaded it and the same misery.
It cannot be installed.
The problem should also here not be the definition of the XOOPS_ROOT_PATH because the /install/index.php should take care of that.

The hosting company told me they had compiled the index.php and found that
XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and XOOPS_URL were not defined.

Actually the install.index.php should take care of that and define the contents of mainfile.php where everything is defined including XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and XOOPS_URL
