OK. Thanks very much. I found the file, made the changes and uploaded it. However, the new text appears in the XOOPS Admin area only. The old text still appears in the user area.

I am using the Liaise module which has an option to invoke the Captcha module. For some reason the old Captcha text still appears in the forms that are presented using Liaise???

I see that your question has been answered, but in the future, why don't you use InfoRapid Search & Replace:

http://www.inforapid.de/html/searchreplace.htm

It is free for non-commercial use and inexpensive otherwise. With it you can search for a word, words, or phrase in an entire directory and quickly find things like that which you are asking about here. It is very useful for other things, too. I use it and like it a lot.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the tip. I was foolishly relying on Windows search!! This program does the job. Much faster as well.

Hi mate how you doing, i am an aussie as well

Umm check out the captcha I am using -http://www.chronolabs.org.au/register.php

If you want to use it; you will find it in the module repository.

https://xoops.org/modules/repository/singlefile.php?cid=43&lid=1674

It uses AI to beat the text recognition robots that have started to come out...

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out.

Thanks very much.

I found the text in the language/english/comment.php file in the XOOPS directory.

I modified the text and I now have the wording just the way I need it.

The following text appears when a user wants to post some comments:

"The comments are owned by the poster. We aren't responsible for their content."

I would like to change the wording but I can't find where the text string is stored.

This message appears when a user wants to add comments to a Dictionary entry but it does not seem to be part of the Dictionary Module - it seems to be part of the XOOPS Core.

I've checked all the templates and all the Dictionary files but I can't find this string anywhere.

I am NOT using the News Module.

The Captcha Module displays this message to the user:

"Enter same character string in image.
If you dont read string, you can change other string when you click the image."

I would like to change the wording so the text is more grammatically correct but I can't find where the text is stored.
