Hi,

unfortunatley I'm not (yet) familiar with multilanguage XOOPS. AFAIK there ar two ways / systems to have this done.

I'd invite you to (also) ask the German community at myxoops.org. Some of them have set up multilingual sites, and if they've made changes to the German 2.0.17, they can tell you. Anyhow it would be useful to know what and how you set up exactly.

Hi,

as Andy stated, the pack is only downloadable in whole. Please scroll up the page mentioned by Andy until you'll see the XOOPS package picture. That's your download link.

Only the German utf-8 language pack is available separatley (but still considered as "experimental"). You may downlod it here

good luck with your site

just an idea -- didn't test and don't know whether it works:

-- set up a local XOOPS 2.0.16
-- import the user tables from your 2.2 db (don't know if they are compatible... maybe sb here can tell you more)
-- use de xoopsmembers to delete the members
-- export/import the table to your server

[added:]
maybe SmartProfile by SmartFactory could do the job? It's an XOOPS 2.0.16 adaption of the former XOOPS 2.2 extende profile and a replacement for the xoopsmembers module. Unfortunately there are no hints whether it works properly on 2.2.

Shalom, Dash,

chaval meod -- bad to hear this...

another solution would be phpMyAdmin (in XOOPS 2.0.16, the users are stored in the XOOPS DB table "users"), but that's horrible, too.

Let's hope that sb will hear your prayer and show mercy

good luck

Shalom, tzvook,

you could try the module xoopsmembers which is available for download on my website. I don't know whether it works with 2.2.

It's the same as the 2.0.x find user, but as a module. As an admin, you can do bulk deletion.

There's also an article in German language. Please use translate.google.com or babelfsh for translation.

Hi, marckd,

it's not a bug, it's a feature

iSearch logs every search request, similar to a counter. btw: if a user searches for more than on word in one request, e.g. "xoops module download", iSearch logs these three words individually.

If you have a "narrow" content on your site, there shouldn't be too much words people are looking for, because they mostly search for the same things...

I also use the module, but only as a webmaster tool. It shows me what users are looking for and whether they get it and what they get. So its helpful for optimizing the contents.

There are about 230 word logged for about 300 search requests.

From time to time I remove some words out of the iSearch database. You can do this in the module administration. You can also use the module's blacklist to reduce the database. E.g. avoid logging words like "and, xoops, download" etc, if you don't need this information.

Maybe Hervé can tell you more.

just a remark on Part 1 -- Building a simple module

(didn't find the right thread here, and maybe sb else told you already )

onhttp://www.kaotik.biz/tutorial/buildmodule4.html the address is referred by

<td><input type="text" name="addr"></td>

lateron the database uses "address", and the insertion is coded as

$query "Insert into ".$xoopsDB->prefix("tutorial_myform")." (name, address, telephone, email) values ('$name', '$address', '$tel', '$email' )";

the effect is that the db field remains empty

ps: did I mention already that I have becom a kaotik junkie lately?

thanks a lot, kaotik, so at least I know that I'm not the only one

I've had a look at the /system/admin.php, which invokes the info, but that wasn't really helpful.

If I use "\n", the browser windows doesn't show anything of this, but the source code has a line break. There's a javascript link for closing the window, but this doesn't help me, either.

As for the German special characters: If I use the ä, ü, ö directly, they appear quite fine.
