I faced a similar problem but since i use defacer on the site, I was able to add the meta description using defacer

If you are looking for a simple Wiki module then I feel the one by skenow is very good. MediaWiki I think has has a bigger learning curve compared to simplywiki

An example of what you are looking for is I think the "Sitemap Module" by Gijoe which displays the content of other modules in the sitemap if a plugin for those modules are available in the plugins directory of "Sitemap Module".

If you are using the breadcrums in publisher then in the publisher_header.html template there is a smarty variable <{$categoryPath}>. Maybe you can use this to match the category that you are looking for.

Just installed xoops 2.5 beta and some modules to test it. Thank you for this release.

Now the issue,
Currently when you install a module after installation there is a link to go to modules admin at the bottom. Since the install new modules has a different page dedicated, is it possible to have a link to go to install new modules page directly after installation of one module. This will make it easier to install multiple modules and needs only addition of one link to the template that gets displayed
after a module is installed.

I think this one is more like a feature request then bug but will reduce save some time if you install many modules together.

thanks a lot will try this in publisher right now,

also is there a way to do this by matching the url as I can then apply it in other modules if the need so arises based on the url of the page

If you can further guide me with what should the code look like if the url of the page where i wish to display the block is
http://swayamsat.org/company.item.27/Dr-Gaurav-on-clinical-hypnotherapy.html

and the block id from blockadmin in xoops is 125

Is it possible to display a specific block only on one article in publisher module? I understand this is not possible using the blockadmin in xoops but is there anyother way may be using a hack or a plugin to do this.

Xoops version 2.4.5
Php version 5.2.8
Publisher version 1 alfa
