New to XOOPS but really like it. I'm trying to setup an XOOPS site to duplicate my static site. I would like to eliminate some of the redundant menu items in my left menu area. The site is at:http://www.consultyou.net/cms/htdocs/modules/AMS/

I would like to eliminate the following items under General Menu from appearing:

Home
Articles and Archieve

Also is there a way to get the following menu items to show up in the menu section called Departments:

Calendar
Links
Audio Video
Contact Us

I'm trying to get a simple list of navigationl menu items all listed in one section.

Thanks in advance (I'm sure this sounds confusing)

I went to the stylesheet for the theme I was using and modified this "img" to include margin, margin-bottom and float:left. This seemed to solve the problem of text against the image without any space.

img { border: 0; margin:6px; margin-bottom:4px; float:left;}

Unfortunately I don't think I can use html in that module. I was hoping there was some way with the style sheet (CSS)for that theme...

Thanks for the reply.

Hi...

Trying to get word wrap around images to look nice. Now the text is up against image (left side). I'm trying to put some space between the image and text body and also have text wrap around images. I'm currently using AMS Module phpkaox theme....

Thanks in advance....

Thanks all for the replies. My client's site is very text heavy with a few images. It's a union that needs to spread a lot of info with the ability to allow others to post content. A nice looking graphic banner and some nice css color changes to the page should do the job.

Thanks for the pointers!

Tom

I've posted this in another section but thought it may fit better here:

I have a client with the typical sit layout...Menus, sub menus going to pages.

I'd like to replace his site with an XOOPS based site. I've tried using the Article Managment Systems Module (AMS) to create articles that basically equal the pages of the current site. In the Block menu set the Navigate By Topic to viewable (which basically equate to the menu tabs of the old site).

My question is does anyone know of a better approach to this with regards to modules. I'm only on my fourth (4th) day of working with XOOPS. It's been a quick setup and easy to use so far.

Thanks for any advice.

Navigation / Link Question

Day 3 for my journey with XOOPS...so far, great!

I'm using AMS (Article Management System) to build artilces for various departments of a union. I'm wondering if there is a way of displaying those articles as a link/block in my left menu instead of having them appear in a dropdown menu.

I would like to replace my client's current website with an XOOPS site as it occured to me that each of the pages on his current site are only different in that each page has a visible menu link.

Thanks for any help!
