you might have used the old version of the news module...

you won't find a better module than news 1.3...

glad to hear everything work fine... do hope the wf-projects can continue working on this great module and finally release the release version

on how in finding the solution, hmmm this is a tougher question/problem, really can't answer this myself...

i guess since the issue is related with the block, i went to the block coding and lucky to find where the issue is...

have you also set the permission in the both wf-sections' preference: "Document Submission:"

and in the permission setting:

User Permission:

Create Documents:
These groups will be allowed to create new Documents.

?

notepad should be fine for editing the php file.

not sure what you have done but please try to replace yours with the original wf-sections first and once everything back to normal, try to update the wfs_menu with the one i changed...

my goodness. what kind of changes you have made?

i have packed the modified file ini the following address: wf-sections menu modified.

you can downloaded it (it is compress in the rar format), unrar ini, and ftp it to replace the wfsection\blocks wfs_menu.php file.

to access your XOOPS admin page, try this:
admin screen

and get your wf-section module updated (once you have update the above file). or get your wf-sections module back to the original and replace the wfs_menu.php file with the one i put in the above dir.

let me know of the outcome.

do hope lots of people responding to your call phppp (and can assist you continuing the great work you have done in newbb/cbb).

sorry if it's oot. i think this post will become unnoticed shortly, once it go pass the front page of xoops. ability to make it 'sticky' in the frontpage would be great or i think we might need to think something else in announcing critical news (from the XOOPS core).

is in the process of implementing a web blog for my website. kinda confuse in selecting between wordpress vs. weblog.

wordpress seems to have a very rich (and complex) features. weblog seems to be simple and easy to use

which one you guys prefer better? and seems that in wordpress we can't add image as the weblog does?

many thanks in advance!

hmm, never use the menu myself. i think you are right. looking at the code seems that the order is based on the section title.

i'm still in the process of learning php myself. let me try:

go to the following directory: wfsection\blocks and edit wfs_menu.php file. you will find the following line (line 42):

$result = $xoopsDB->query("SELECT id, title, pid, groupid FROM " . $xoopsDB->prefix(WFS_CATEGORY_DB) . " ORDER BY title ASC");

change it into:

$result = $xoopsDB->query("SELECT id, title, pid, groupid FROM " . $xoopsDB->prefix(WFS_CATEGORY_DB) . " ORDER BY weight ASC");

change the title into weight, and update your module. it should fix your problem.

let me know of the outcome.
