I don't think it can be added as a field, but my guess is you would have to do it through a hack.

Another way of doing it could be a small hack redirecting the user to the avatar upload page after the registration has taken place (provided there's no need for confirming/activating the registration).

Download of framework isn't working

I like your Inspire theme, do you have it available for download?

In the "Admin area", you should have a module that says "User Profile". Open the "Fields" settings for that and then choose to edit the field of your choice.

What exactly do you mean by "title bar"?

GL Cozzie!

hacamat: I think that would require a hack to the register page. If you want to do it quick and dirty, then maybe you could just create the two dependent fields in User Profile and then user the hack, i.e. code on the page, to do the connection between the two. Google for dependent drop down and you'll find a great number of tutorials for this using javascript, php, ajax and what not.

I can't seem to find a link to the themes library in the new theme. Is it just me or is it missing?

@sailjapan: Was that request aimed at me or BitC3R0? I'm just an amateur at the design stuff (and basically everything else too!) and while I certainly could do it, it would most likely be so inferior to anything a talented person could put together that it would look completely out of place

Also, I might as well point out that any suggestions I've made in this thread are just that and nothing else. I am truly excited about the new theme and think it looks outstanding (albeit a bit hard to find things, but that's probably just me not being used to it).

I believe installing e.g. the SmartProfile module will help you achieve that. I'm sure that there are some others modules out there as well.

Edit: In newer versions of Xoops, this functionality is included. In the admin section, go to the User Profile menu and select the Fields section. In there, click edit for the field you want to make mandatory and you will find the "Required" option on the bottom half of the page.

Thanks ghia. I didn't venture into the forums of frxoops myself because my french is just...well, close to non-existant.

I realize they changed the templates and restyled the artwork, and I do enjoy the overall look, but in this case I was actually only after the basic theme they used.

Anyway, thanks again. I'll go have another look in the theme repository now.

I very much like the theme on frxoops.org. Does anyone know if it is a publically available theme and if so what it is called?

The extra info on the user works for me in FF, but not in IE8. Also, I wouldn't mind new icons for "reply" etc in the forums that fits the theme.

I agree with ghia that the right column is too wide.

It's great to see that the module repository will get a much better design with a good overview. Now all we need to is get rid of those nasty 3.5" disk icons
