I got the Stanley Kubrick collection for Christmas

By the way,... by the end of the 1950s, the USSR had put a satellite in space and flown a spacecraft around the moon. In 1961 they flew the first man in space. The world then began to take interest in space exploration, especially the US who began a space programme of their own to rival that of the Soviets.

The space race between the US and the Soviets had continued throughout the 1960s. Kubrick’s film came out in 1968. A year later NASA landed the first man on the moon. And the space race continued in the cinema; since the moon landings, Hollywood has produced dozens of films about astronauts and space exploration. The popularity of conspiracy theories following the Watergate scandal speculating that the moon landing never took place and was recorded in a TV studio (GB) - just check the light and shadows, the foot print & gravity.

It seems the human being is repeating since the beginning the same behavior in many domains of existence. We have the Mandelbrot fractals example as a visual representation but without time to think about it we still calling it - the progress(ion)!... or the corporation !?

Any way, it's freaky stuff... Now, how we can apply such theory to the new forks well, maybe this is not so funny, never mind my friend!... We'll be ready for the next step!

The Easiest Multi-Language Hack of Gijoe works just fine with Rowd Site Language module and Kiang Language Tool but I need a day or two to test Marc-André multilinguage module.

Then i'll be back to the lab to meet ergonomicists and designers before i start the doc translation (project management, ergo-processes,etc.) XOOPS Blog and XOOPS E-Learning, both already run with ML - english, français, portugues and it's onefilehack to switch to any other x.ml

Let me know about any "merging" result!

P.S. NO PRINCÍPIO ERA O CAOS. Realmente antes de tudo existiu o Khaos (Hesíodo)!

In the next 4 weeks, the XOOPS Foundation invites everyone to propose a design for a mascot for the exclusive use by XOOPS project and Foundation, for the benefit of promoting the XOOPS.org project, the system and the community.

The mascot designs must conform to the following criteria:
- Express the artists view on what 'XOOPS' stands for;
- Explain in detail how this concept is concieved, and what it stands for;
- Usable for promotion activities for XOOPS.org and it's partners (the local support sites);
- All rights should be licensed to the XOOPS Foundation (read carefully: licensed, not transferred);
- Contain a detailed description of how it should be used;
- Should be usable without being combined with the logo;
- Should be usable in various situations, on various media.

We will then ask a jury to look at the proposals, and have a public vote on this as well.

Then, I push him, in a kind way, to over react !...
Because we already discuss about it at XOOPS Theme Forge, by the way, also discussed about mathematical linguage. So, don't worry with it, XOOPS is just needing something new.

Well, i was inspired by Jason, LazyBadger and many others, when i came out with the human representation - XOOPS Guide instead the animal one.

I still saw here 'contribution' and 'Xoops Powered by You'! And i feel free to improve it or not as i don't worry with chief or whatever promotion that could represent

P.S. The critic is constructive, that allows us to do better, at least this is not indifference.

Definitely, the human representation looks like to be the good way to go for.

Considering what Pdajunkee said about the Excite logo maybe review the "lines over the head" : three + two (of arms) giving the 5, five senses, etc. or get rid of them.

Also, give a try to horizontal reverse to have ">" instead of "<" (mathemical langugage in mind).

Any way thanks for all those visual examples of possibilities.

Great work !

Hi Mikhail,

I'm finishing the pack designed & based on 2010, pro-ergonomic processes, accessibility and code validation - it looks more like a XOOPS fork Well there's no such activity at XOOPS Theme Forge and we still have no news of Public Relation Team, i don't even know if there's one. I'll send it to you as soon as it is ready!

@ Herko Rowd and Wtravel

Enjoy the meeting with the hope that Xoops will grow towards an interdependent international community!

Cheers

Esperando novidades tuas. Um abraço sincero.

I'm glad to see that you adopt the minimaliste humain representation.

I like your draft.. something comes out of it.
Like the 5 senses, the 5 five fingers, representing the prolongation of mind (spirit) and the power of creation.

It reminds me something i worked on with the Rolex logo : a crown drawn like a humain five fingers hand producing a perfect mechanism.

Just for fun, lets make it alive!
Why not animate it with 3D?

P.S. Try to reduce or increase the "head top lines" to give a visual impression of "5".

This thread started by mentioning the lack of project management (roadmap?), transparency (private forums!?) and inter-communities communications issues... will it end up with a lack of roadmap, lack of transparency in some communications and an unexplained rize of secretism?

Please, stop wainting to have control over everything? And let some information come out!

Can only two people represent democraticly all the XOOPS communities?

At last but not least, leave to one only man the responsability of future XOOPS Core developement under XOOPS Fondation control, is it an Open Source approach?

I was reading the logo slogan "powered by you"...
that means me the unknow XOOPS User?
Because this is also what made me join the XOOPS Project!

P.S. Hope is the last thing to die !
