Hi All,

I want to be able to create many instances of the same site and assign them different subdomains while sharing user credentials between all the subdomains so that the user does not need to register again.

I would also like to share Social networking but each installation would have their own calendars and news modules.

I have ofcourse looked at multisite but as far as I can tell it does not let you share information like user credentials or specific modules.

I was aware of a similar module to multisite which did allow sharing of tables hence allowing shared credentials etc. But I have not seen this module for a while and do not know if it is still being supported.

Has anyone else used XOOPS for this purpose and if so please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I need to include javascript into my code but I also need to pass a smarty variable (namely $xoops_url). So the only way I can see to do this is by putting the code into theme.html. But I would much rather include a path to the js file to make the code cleaner.

Right now I have temporarily hard coded the path instead of putting it into theme.html.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I thought it might have been possible to reference a file in a block_show function.
So do you mean that I just put it in the template file ?

Thank you.

Hi,
Can someone advise on how to install multisite please?

I installed XOOPS 2.3 and then I over wrote the installation with XOOPS 2.3-multi-1.22 patch. And then everything goes blank!

Are there any instructions anywhere?

Thanks in advance.

IS chronolabs the only place where it is possible to download multixoops from ? Because that site is down - and has been for a while!

I would like to get hold of instructions on how to configure multixoops too if possible.

Can someone help?
