Must be native modules, eh?

The Wordpress module comments, for example, dont' show up in it.

Oh, and the 'recent comments' thing? What module's comments is this block supposed to display?

I can't figure it out...

Thanks!

I TOTALLY want to try phpstats, but your tutorial on how to set it up is missing the javascript part.

Probably stripped out by the system. Can you post it somewhere so I can set it up? The demo looks freaking awesome.

Thanks!

Errgh...you're right. I better look at the file and then take another read.

Thanks!

J

Edit: OK, I understand now. So the weightings are only relevant within each section (center-center, center-left, center-right, etc). Got it.

I was looking for a layout like:
2 rows of center-center blocks
1 row of 1 center-left and 2 center-right
2 more rows of center-center blocks.

I guess that's not going to happen without some serious hacking on my part, eh?

Thanks for the info!
J

Looks like you're missing the style sheet. Is is uploaded? Is it readable?

Is there a tutorial on weighting somewhere?

If you take a look at my dev environment athttp://www.jonwatson.ca/xoops you'll see the following in the center section:

Blog
AdSense
Top Downloads
Slashdot | Digg
iBLOGthere4iM | Lifehacker

I want the Top Downloads to be moved to the bottom, but not matter what weighting I assign it, it won't go.

Here's my current positioning and weighting:

Blog - center/center - 0
Google AdSense - center/center - 1
Top Downloads - center/center - 9
Digg - center/right - 2
Slashdot center - left - 1
iBLOGthre4iM - center/left - 2
Lifehacker - center/right - 2

What the heck am I missing here?

Oh, and while we're kind of on the topic: WHat is the 'recent comments' module supposed to display. Recent comments from what?

Almost there.....

Thanks!

J

I asked pretty much the same question in the Beginner's forum. You may want to take a look in there, but the gist of it was:

Move it, then make the necessary changes in mainfile.php.

I haven't looked in mainfile.php yet, but apparently it's commented enough that finding the proper things to change is doable.

File Area-type Module?

Hello All,

Thanks for the help so far.

The next thing I'm trying to figure out is what module (if any) will give me a file area? I've taken a look at (not installed) the modules under File Management, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at.

This is a hard area because many of the module descriptions describe how the module differs from other modules of the same ilk. Having no frame of reference for these other modules, I frequently have no idea what the description means.

But I digress...

Amongst other things, I'm a podcaster and would like to have a small file area of old shows that people can download if they wish. Much like the modules or themes file area on the XOOPS site here.

Is there such a module?

Thanks!

Jon
