I don't think I'm using custom block, yet I added these lines to .php pages that are in a XOOPS subfolder. Maybe there wouldn't show smarty tags?

Or maybe I don't use any blocks at all for this?

hello to everybody.

I tried to display the username on page and it didn't work

1.
I insert

...

<{if $xoops_isuser}> Welcome, <a href="<{$xoops_url}>/user.php"><{$xoops_uname}></a>

...

it displays "<{if $xoops_isuser}> Welcome, <{$xoops_uname}>" on the page and
not the actual username

2.
if I insert
...

<{if $xoops_isuser}> Welcome, <a href="http://hostname.net/user.php"><{$xoops_uname}></a>

...
it still displays "<{if $xoops_isuser}> Welcome, <{$xoops_uname}>"
but if I click on "<{$xoops_uname}>" it takes me to the 'view account page'

what is missing? why it doesn't show the actual username?

thanks.
