Hello Catz hope your still not mad did you get a chance to look at my problem?

everything went okay now it doesn't see my attach files and when I try to upload it again or even new it says this:
Update failed.
You are not permitted to upload this type of file.
This is on jpg, movies or what ever I had before

rgiord54 -- have you tried setting the allowable MIME types from the Admin screen? The message you mentioned seems to indicate that some of your files types have been setup as allowable.

Catz - As I said before. First rate stuff. A couple of things I came across after my last post. In ratefile.php, $lid was causing an erro as undefined variable. I added
$lid $HTTP_GET_VARS['lid'];
at line 96 and it worked just fine after that.
I couldn't get the wf-section Downloads or the Article Links blicks to work, but I've looked at the code, and I think I know why so that's not an issue.
I'm having trouble understanding the criteria to get the Big wf-Section Article to show correctly. All I get is "No big...yet." Tried to sort through the SQL to see how it works... but can't quite get it, maybe you could shed some light on it. ;)

Once I get this going on my site, I will send you a link, and if you don't mind, I'd like to add you as a site partner. W/o this module, my site and the vision we have for wouldn't be possible.

Once again I am humbled in the presence of the master. As usual Catz, you have created a first rate module! With this release, you really do deserve some time off! Way to go! I did have a few problems with the upgrade on my test site (good think I checked it first ) -- NOTE to others comming up from B5 to V1 - I had to back up all the wfs tables, uninstall the module, re-unpack the files, then reinstall it. I then added back in the data from the back up --- becarefull, as there is a field on the articels table that has been removed in this version, no biggie - it's the orders field (last on the list) so it's easy to remove from the SQL. Hope this helps any others from the same heartache I had.... good thing I tried it on the test site first :)
At any rate, a good job well done Catz....

PS: Catz - Since I know you are keeping up on this thread, I guess I should mention what problems I did have. It may be related to the fact that I was moving from b5 to V1... but the wfsupdate.php removed fields OK, but wasn't adding them for some reason. Not sure why, as I never got any kinds of errors.. .even when running XOOPS w/ PHP debugging turned on. I you need any further info, PM me and I can fill you in a little better.

hi,
while waiting for the "better" version
there is 2 bug for the search.php which you modify
that is when include the mainfile.php and the searchform.php
i think you put it as include(mainfile.php) instead of include (../../mainfile.php)..same to searchform.php too

Regards

Any includes that are done in the files are straight from the original source. All that the hack did was to modify the search criteria, nothing more. :=D

Hopefully I can get the "better" version out withing the next week or two.

It has been brought to my attention that the hack doesn't properly work when used with custom sessions.... This is because the cookie used is set during the login process.... if the user doesn't login (because the session is stored) then the cookie doesn't get set. I'm going to work on a solution to this, along with another "enhancement." I'll post here when I get something.

You asked for it, now you have it. The hack has been posted in the "Modules / Themes" section on Xoops.
The direct link to the Zip file is:https://xoops.org/modules/mydownloads/visit.php?lid=418

Just want to let those following this thread that the hack is now available in the D/L section (well, it was submitted.... it may be a day or two before it actually shows up). If any one needs/wants it direct, contact my self via email, or ScoobRS. Either one of us should be able to get it to you.

In the near future, I plan to hopefully develop it a bit more to search out more items, as it now only does the forums. If it grows enough, I might be convinced enough to develop a full-fledged module that can do this kind of searching for the whole site dynamically.

Funny you should mention this..... I just wrote a couple of hacks to the forum mod to 1) View posts since last login, and 2) View unread posts/posts w/ no replies. As soon as I can get things cleaned up up in I will post it here for d/l.
