Did you actually delete and re-generate your forum templates? It took me awhile to figure it out the first time:

1) Make a copy of your default templates.
2) Delete all the forum templates. They'll be replaced by the option to regenerate all the appropriate ones.
3) Do the regeneration.
4) Go into your forum options and change your default to this set of templates.

You did all these steps?

2 things come to mind:

1) Did you get the new main.php it mentions in the readme?

2) Did you update your templates?

Flash movies in Newbb 2.0?

Has anyone had any luck in getting flash presentations to show in Newbb 2.0? I'm running XOOPS 2.0.7.3 with Newbb 2.0 Final Preview (I just found that it has gone to final; I'll update it tomorrow [I need some sleep!]).

If I try to create a link to my presentation with any of the editors, they appear to filter it out, even though I have html tags enabled.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Figured it out. I downloaded the final preview and installed it. This time I remembered to "UPDATE THE MODULE!" (Duh!) Suddenly everything worked VERY well. I allowed Koivi as an option in the Forum preferences, and it looks good.

The only problem I've encountered thus far is that when I try to edit a forum post with Koivi, it doesn't save. Not sure what's going on there yet; I haven't had time to pursue it...

Any ideas would be appreciated!

I tried the final, but it took down my website. Until I review what happened, I have to go back to RC3.

I'm wondering what I'm missing to get it going...

Yes. DHTML and Koivi give me the same behavior. I suspect I need to add code somewhere, but not sure where.

Thanks, you guys.

I updated the functions.php file as suggested, then modified the forum preferences to allow Koivi; however, when I select it in the forum, all I get is the normal DHTML editor. What have I missed?

Also, once I get this working, is there a way to set the default?

I appreciate the terrific help!

Hello, all:

I just downloaded Koivi. I successfully integrated it with the news module, following the docs.

Next, I want to add this to the forums. The documentation gives general directions, but I've not hacked the php code before.

Looking around, I assume I need to hack the forumform.inc. Looking at the code, I see where I'd probably need to add the class near the top, but after that, I'm not following the parameters clearly enough to be sure where to go after that.

Since I don't see this question elsewhere, I'll assume that it's incredibly obvious, and I'm just being thick-headed.

I'm using newbb2.0RC3. Clueless as I am, I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks.

-Richard

I had the exact same problem across three websites. Putting in the <{$xoops_module_header}> on the theme.html fixed it on all sites for me.

Here's how (I'm assuming you have FTP access to a remote host):

- FTP to your website
- Change directories to /theme/your_theme where your_theme = the theme you have picked.
- Download theme.html
- Use your favorite editor. Look for the line that ends:
[size=x-small]href="<{$xoops_themecss}>" />'[/size]

- Immediately after that line, add the following line:
[size=x-small]<{$xoops_module_header}>[/size]
-Save your file.
-Upload it back to the same location on your website.

Now try it and see what happens.

I've found the same problem. However, as a workaround, I've simply placed a space in the field to replace the URL. It works, and no one has a problem with it, as far as I can tell. Hope this helps!
