I couldn't find the news_block_new.html folder in the templates folder to even try this approach.

I tried changing the colors here but when I entered my values the result was that the tabs were blank. What?

I would like to change the color of the sub-tabs in the bevel skin -- where would I go to do this?

I figured out my problem -- I had to update ALL of my News templates, not just the index to get the spotlight feature to work. But now I too would like to have a spotlight block similar to what's been done here on the XOOPS site as loukaum suggested. Can you do that with 1.3?

I still can't seem to get the spotlight feature to work with News 1.3. How exactly does it work?

It sounds as if you all are having problems with quotation marks/apostrophes/accents. It's a common thing and it's due to the evilness of magic quotes.

You may be right, because when I entered my vDeck administration area (vDeck is like cpanel) and I tried to connect to phpmyadmin I got this message:

My site seemed to be working fine, but this morning I got this message on the page when I went to visit my site.

I took the quotation marks out be it's still happening.

Any other ideas what might be causing this?
