Hi and thank you for the suggestions. Information follows.

In site preferences,

Use custom session - yes

I cleared cookies and then tried to register again and found I had two cookies from the site: XOLOGGERVIEW and PHPSESSID.

Here is the session info from phpinfo:

Thanks.

I cleared the sessions table. Cookies are enabled. Same result.

Also tried disabling protector module but same result.

Other suggestions welcome.

I am having this same message now. I was receiving the error that the captcha code was invalid. After much reading here, I upgraded from 2.3.2b to 2.4.2 and now I have the "process has been expired".

Checksum came up clean, all files confirmed.

The error comes up instantly so none of the symptoms mentioned about server load.

After upgrade, I updated the system and profile modules.
Profile is 1.55.

I checked that the settings are to save after each registration step. I've changed them back and forth and found no difference.

The captcha was always displaying properly, as it is now, just can't get past the first page.

I checked using the phpinfo file and this is the GD result:

GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
FreeType Version 2.2.1
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
XPM Support enabled
XBM Support enabled

I'm out of ideas at my level.

Module with List Serve functions

I have a group wishing to establish a list serve so they can use this as an alternative to a bulletin board. Apparently logging in to post a response is too much work. They want to reply to the group via their e-mail.

Is there a XOOPS module that will do this?

Thanks.

Re: Modules Admin Page is Almost Blank

Thanks.

It always seems to be a simple answer. The debug showed me that I was missing one file in Protector module.

Replaced and it seems good now.

Modules Admin Page is Almost Blank

On my modules admin page, I have only a single line where I can update the system module. No other buttons or modules appear.

I have cleaned the xoops data caches and updated the system module. I also tried overwriting the system module with fresh files and then updating. No luck.

Suggestions welcome.

In continued effort to fix this, I uploaded the module again. I have found that it is something in the thumbnail folder that is causing the blank page. Without it, the downloads appear but without thumbnails of course. With that folder, blank page.

Any ideas?

I have a site with 116 download files spread over 7 categories. Most of the files are .pdf.

A user reported some problems and I now find that two of the categories return blank pages when a user tries to access them.

I have updated the system module as well as WF-Downloads module.

I think the user who reported the issue was trying to upload a file that is larger than the allowed limit, in case that might matter.

I uploaded a test file successfully. The index page shows that the new file has been received and the icon is the correct colour.

From the admin menu of the module, I can see and access the test file. It also shows up properly in the marquee module.

Module and system details:

Thanks,

That did it.

Just had to remember to update the module after making the changes.

eXtCal 2.22 has a nice feature that allows users to add or exclude themselves to events.

An improvement to this would be the ability to add more than one person.

We have social events where a date or other family members are welcome but the calendar doesn't currently allow users to say how many people will attend with them.

It would be nice to see something like
"username and X guests will attend."
