Yeah, saw that one before...

I wish there was one that didn't have such blatent ad's on it.

I mean, I don't mind a small ad -- but not some newsletter where my community portal members will get SPAM mail from... you know how it is.

Thanks.

Thanks, but when you click on:http://www.resultsats.com/signup.php

It says the service is no longer available.

Too bad there isn't an RSS feed of scores that can be loaded to look like a ticker?

Hope your memory comes back

hehehe

Anyone have a module that works as a Sports Ticker?

There are a few free ones online that are littered with ads.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hey everyone,

I am wondering who here runs a community portal site?

I am looking to see some examples, get some new ideas and possibly make contact with other community portal owners to share ideas and help each other out.

If you have any "must have" modules for community portals, theme recommendations etc.. I'd love to hear them.

Post your URL and let's start a thread on Portal sites.

Thanks,
Jamie

Hey guys.

I am getting frustrated with the lack of space available to me on my XOOPS site -- because I am forcing myself to make sure the web site is viewable in 800x600 without the user having to scroll.

Any idea on how to maximize space? Are you all still designing for 800x600, or is 1024x769 becoming common place now?

I run a community portal and I just want to maximize my space.

Any ideas/suggestion?

Currently using the 7XRed theme from 7Dana.com

peace.

Yeah, but I am looking to display NEWS RSS FEEDS.

Not site news, or news that I have typed up... which I believe is what you suggested with that module.

Anyone?

Hey all,

I am looking for a way to put NEWS feeds on my front page.

Not site news, or my own news stories -- something like the news I get from the "ss-yahoonews" module.

I want to post the top 5 or 6 top news headlines on my front page, to encourage people to check my news section and also make the front page appear to look different each time people visit and see new, updated headlines.

What do you suggest I use for this?

Thank you.

Jamie

Hello,

I apologize if this has been discussed before.

Is there a module that allows people to customize their experience on your web site.

For example, on Yahoo! you can customize what content you see on the web page, getting rid of the stuff you don't access.

I know you can set this to allow different Themes to be chosen, but is there an existing method to personalize the web page for each user?

Thank you,

Jamie

Hey everyone, I followed the instructions here:

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=20615&forum=20

To ADD multiple theater listings to xmovietimes module.

Once I make the changes to "common.php" it doesn't work.

If you have this working, could you please e-mail me your files or post them on the board?

I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you,
Jamie
