Hi everyone !!!

I have a GREAT problem...

I do have a Firewall install, and when I try to send a new, or post in the forum here or in another XOOPS web, I can't send the message at least I have deactivated the Firewall...

Is there any way for not havint to deactivate the Firewall ???

We are ending out migration to Xoops, and now we will leave our colaborators to try, and I imagine, that it's the first problem and criticism they will find...

Hi everyone !!!

We have installed the news module and we've used the HACK...

So, we now can publish a new with a good and long header explaining the new...

But, the problem is that we activate for appearing the last news in the home, and only appears the tittle of the new.... there doesn't appear the header with a previos explain of the new, which we want to appear...

What are we doing bad ???

Jordi

Hi everyone !

I've created som categories in the News...

Our page is dedicated to the hobby of Slot (scalextric) and we are migrating to Xoops... www.slot5.net

For example, we do have two categories and in each one, we have created the same sub-topics on them...

We have used the HACK for the news for using headers...

If we publish a new in one category with on sub-topic, it only tells us that the new is in the sub-topic, but it doesn't tell us in which category it is...

Thanks for the help !!!
We wish to end as soon as possible the migration to XOOPS solving these small problems...

Hi!

I have created two Private forums to my web...

One for Moderators and another for Contributors....

Obviously, I would like these two forums only be able to see by the people who have access to these forums...

Is like your private forums... you have two forums here.... is it possible to make these two forums Invisible to the people who don't have access to these forums ???

Hi!

First at all, I will let me know who I am... my name is Jordi and with a friends, we have a page dedicated exclusivelly to the game of Slot (Scalextric) which is our passion... we've met in less than a year of existence that our page be next to the 100.000 most visited pages from the Alexa.com ranking ....

Now, we have decided to change to XOOPS for the great posibilities that offers and the advantages that we find to it for our work in the page... but we have some doubts....

We during the migration, want to know if it is possible to install XOOPS in another directory in the server without being visible to the "normal" users... and when we have ended to migrate ALL the contents of the page, change the index.html file so then it indicates to the principal page done by XOOPS and then show to ALL user the new image of our page...

Is this possible ???
How would we do this ???
Should we install XOOPS in a directory that wasn't the principal ???
Should we give this actions after problems ???
