Newbb2: how to get posts show from the beginning?

I am looking for a way how to either disable the sort function or to make sure all posts show up in threads. Right now, posts older than 100 days are not displayed unless the user selects "from the beginning" in the sort options. As a result, some threads show up empty at first sight, which makes it look like a bug.
For example:

How to get all posts showing? And in fact, how can I just get rid of the whole sort function?

PHP Debugger gives

Problem persists...

And also shows up on the forum in forum descriptions. xoopscode is replaced by html tags and these html tags are displayed.

newbb2 with multilingual hack?

i have been succesfully using the multilanguages for quite some time, but have yet to find a way to make my newbb2 forum bilingual. I mean, of course the forum interface can be made bilinugal by adapting the language files.

But what i want is the text tags like [en]forum name[/en][jp]フォーラム名[/jp] to work with forum titles and posts... any ideas out there?

In short: how to make the forum content change according to the language selected working with the multilanguages hack?

Tags showing in Recent News titles

I am trying to fix the following bug, but have not been succesfull until now.

In my Recent News block, the titles of the news stories show up with their tags. So instead of

Title of the story

I see

TAG Title of the story CLOSING TAG.

This happens both [xoops] tags and <html> tags.

I am using the multilingual hack and Japanese/English on my site. The problem only shows up in English; in Japanese it loooks fine. Also, the Recent News block is the only instance where this bug shows up.

So, I am pretty puzzled. I suspect a problem in the textsanitizer script, but have been unable to find it until now...
