I have a fresh install of 2.3.1.
I changed the setting on the complementary registration step to save.
I made the same edits to the template file with the same result.
The activation e-mail sends once the new user has finished the first step.

I edited the file to read as follows after making the user_from field mandatory in the basic step. I think it is called location in the registration page.

Hello {X_UNAME},

A new user {USERNAME} ({USEREMAIL}) has just registered an account at {SITENAME}.
Clicking on the link below will activate the account of this user:
The new user {USERNAME} entered the following information:
Occupation: {USER_OCC}
User is from: {USER_FROM}
Extra Info: {BIO}
{USERACTLINK}

-----------
{SITENAME} ({SITEURL})
webmaster
{ADMINMAIL}

I'm not comfortable trying to upgrade to 2.3.1 for this site yet. It runs flawlessly and has for a couple of years, so I figure if it ain't broke...

I would prefer to make the small change in 2.2.4 if it is possible.

Any other suggestions?

I am using 2.2.4.
I found the file in /modules/profile/language/english/mail_template/adminactivate.tpl
and tried to add some information to it.

I edited the file to:
Hello {X_UNAME},

A new user {USERNAME} ({USEREMAIL}) has just requested membership at {SITENAME}.

{USERNAME} entered the following information:
Displayname: {DISPLAYNAME}
Employer: {EMPLOYER}
Position: {POSITION}
Work Phone: {WORK_PHONE}

Clicking on the link below will activate the account of this user:

{USERACTLINK}

-----------
{SITENAME} ({SITEURL})
webmaster
{ADMINMAIL}

but unfortunately it didn't pick up the fields the way I had hoped and the result was an e-mail that contained this:
Displayname: {DISPLAYNAME}
Employer: {EMPLOYER}
Position: {POSITION}
Work Phone: {WORK_PHONE}

in stead of the data that the new registrant had entered.
These are three fields that I had created using the extended profiles feature. Is it case sensitive perhaps?

Where have I gone wrong?

The problem is gone following an upgrade to 2.3.1.

Original cause not determined.

I've upgraded from 2.2.4 to 2.3.0.
In 2.2.4, adding a block was a matter of picking from a list. For example, the drop-down menu gave 13 different types of blocks I could add under the "System" headding.

I want to add some similar blocks under 2.3.0 but all I can see is a choice of the position.

If I want to add a block like "themes", "user menu", or "Who's Online" in 2.2.4, how do I do that in 2.3.0?

2.2.4 to 2.3.0 - menu issue

I upgraded from 2.2.4 to 2.3.0 and all went seemingly well. My issue is in a menu at the top of the page.
When not logged in, the date and time appear there.
Once I log in, I get a button that says:
_MA_NAV_ACTIONS
and expands to:
_MA_NAV_VIEWACCOUNT
_MA_NAV_EDITACCOUNT
_MA_NAV_NOTIFICATIONS
_MA_NAV_LOGOUT
_MA_NAV_ADMINISTRATION

So clearly it is supposed to be a menu.
I am using the default theme and templates as the site was just for practice.

I'm on the hunt for a good program for my wife to use to create calendars. She has been using one called Calendar Creator for several years and wants to upgrade. Before we drop the money there, I thought I would see if there might be a free one out there somewhere.

Thanks,

In the WF-Downloads module I am seeing

<div><b>Welcome to the WF Download Section.</b></div>

at the top of the page just below the image. Of course this should be without the tags but I am having no success in locating the cause of the problem.

I can't see that the language exists in any template or other file. I have named the module simply "reference" in stead of WF-Downloads.

I'm sure an easy fix, but elusive to me.
