The IP addresses of most users would probably change anyway at some point after registering, unless they had purchased static IP address from their ISP.

It would be *so* nice, if when you receive a notification about a new forum thread, instead of the summary reading:

Quote:
[Official XOOPS Website] Support Forums auto-notify : New post in thread

it read:

Quote:
[Official XOOPS Website] Support Forums auto-notify : New post in thread 'Feature Requests'

Then I could delete multiple notifications for the posts I have just read in that thread.

Sorry, I can't help you with any of those. I removed it because in it's present stage of development I could only see it being useful in small communities as a quick-contact tool.

I agree that the pop-up window size issue, Firefox problem, page redirect and message trail need to be addressed.

Might get more help on the developer's site forum.

If you enter the domain name at Squish:

http://www.squish.net/dnscheck/

it reports a problem with the DNS:
Quote:
25.0% of queries will end in failure at 212.67.193.77 (ns.compila.com) - nameserver loop detected

75.0% of queries will be returned by 81.3.70.168 (ns3.sovdns.com)

I don't know how significant that error is, but if you connect to the net using the compila nameservers, that might explain why you can't see the site and others can. Your host/domain registrar should be able to help resolve this.

It's only an alpha, but I tried this a while ago and it worked - except in Firefox where it won't 'pop' because of the pop-up blocker. It *is* basic. (no private chat rooms etc) but it *isn't* powered by Flash, so it's really quick.

I had no trouble installing, but I am sure I downloaded a version from the developer's site rather than from here. See my comments in the module downloads section.

My own install notes say CHMOD the 'log' folder *and* the files within it to 777.

If it's definitely not a referrer issue, you need to talk to your host. If you are on a shared server it's possible another client has wysiwigPro installed and it has been used as a gateway for an exploit.

The recent Santy webworm gained access through vulnerable phpBB forums, but it often affected every PHP and ASP site on the same server, even those who were not running phpBB.

If the server is *still* under attack, your host will need to resolve the problem before anything that you do will help.

Do you do any work on the site in FrontPage?. 'Cos, the only questions about mysterious wysiwigPro files I could find were in this thread on this forum.

wysiwigPro is a bona-fide editor. You might want to check their website to see if they have a forum?

If it's IE6 or Norton blocking access to your site, you will probably find a solution here:

Don't know if later versions of WS-FTP have this enabled by default as mine did, but the 'force lower-case remote names' option has caught me out before now. The upload succeeds, but of course files where upper-case characters have been converted to lower-case cannot be found by the application. I only discovered this when I did a painstaking file by file check to troubleshoot a PHP app that wouldn't work properly. I also have the 'binary' and 'auto' options checked.

Does the register_long_arrays setting show up in PHPinfo?. It's just that I imagine many hosts will not re-enable this setting when they upgrade to PHP5. Perhaps this should be added to XOOPS published system requirements?.
