I am having to "click here" when I make any system changes and am presented with

"If the page does not automatically reload, please click here"

Another file not uploaded properly I assume. What file controls this function?
Thanks.

User Menu issue in production, not present in testing

I made the move to production with 2.3.1 and find for some reason my user menu is missing the top link - "administration menu".
I assume something didn't copy correctly but don't know which file.
I don't want to load everything again because there are only a couple small bugs .
I can access the admin area no problem.
Where can I correct this?

Having made the move from 2.2 branch, I can tell you that it is quite different and I like it very much.

My advice is to install it on a test server and be certain that your modules are all compatible. Take it for a test drive.

Depending on the content of your site, it may not be an option yet.

One detail not included in those instructions is the use of the checksum files to ensure you have everything there that you should.

I would have benefited from that earlier.

Content of all custom blocks has disappeared - titles still present.

Yesterday I had custom blocks with content. Today I have custom blocks with just titles, no content.
I have been experimenting with different themes and re-loaded some files into the xoops_data and xoops_lib after running the checksum.php.

I haven't touched the database. Each time I think I'm ready to upgrade the production site, I run into another little glitch.

Any ideas?

I had a quick look at the article you cited and think you might have become too involved. The editors are a part of 2.3.1 so there is nothing to do but install.

I have new installation as well as updated site with all editor options available. I did nothing but follow the install instructions.

Try a re-upload of the files and if that doesn't do it for you, remember to include the information from this post so the experts can chip in.

In case another newbie encounters this, just overwrite the old default with the new one and the issue disappears with the old default theme.

Of course the upgrading instructions indicate to remove the /themes folder for I suppose obvious reasons but this leaves the old default theme which from my experience does not function properly with 2.3.1.

I have WF-Links 1.03 installed on a site that I just updated to 2.3.1 and it seems to work just fine.
No problems for the functions that I use.

WF-Links 1.03 appears to work just fine with 2.3.1.

edit - There seems to be an issue with the "top rated" and "popular". I don't use those features so I didn't notice right away.

Using the default template, I am getting this:
_MA_NAV_ACTIONS
and expands to:
_MA_NAV_VIEWACCOUNT
_MA_NAV_EDITACCOUNT
_MA_NAV_NOTIFICATIONS
_MA_NAV_LOGOUT
_MA_NAV_ADMINISTRATION

Where I should be seeing just the links.

XOOPS Version - XOOPS 2.3.1
PHP Version - 4.4.4
MySQL Version - 4.1.22-standard
Server API Version - cgi
OS Version - Linux

safe_mode - Off
register_globals - On
magic_quotes_gpc - On
allow_url_fopen - On
fsockopen - On
allow_call_time_pass_reference - On
post_max_size - 64M
max_input_time - 100
output_buffering -
max_execution_time - 100
memory_limit -
file_uploads - On
upload_max_filesize - 64M

This is on a duplicate site that I created to practice upgrading to 2.3.1. I created the site update.mysite.com, copied all of the files over and created a new database to which I imported all of the old data.

It is on this duplicate that I am finding the issue. Once I have it figured out, I'll take on the production one.

Old system was 2.2.4.

If I have bad files uploaded, is there a way of identifying them without uploading everything again?

I am seeing these errors on the page:

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /modules/newbb/include/functions.ini.php line 70
Notice: Deprecated function 'mod_getunamefromids', use XoopsUserUtility directly. in file /Frameworks/art/functions.user.php line 26
