Re: Spare me some time. Re-review this site.

I like your navigation, but I have to admit I'm not crazy about the logo-header.

The red is too bright, when put next to the darker red. Perhaps using the red in the footer instead of the bright one would help.

Just my opinion.

Re: Thoughts on my site please?

No, don't delete anything.

On the administration menu, go to preferences > General preferences, and set:
"Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?"
to yes

Then you'll be able to make changes to theme.html and see the changes by refreshing your browser.

Re: Thoughts on my site please?

I agree. You need a logo, or at least more contrast in your header.

Make it bigger, change the font, something...

An try putting the logo not centered. Align it to the left. Centering is boring.

Re: failed open file

It may have to do with the fact that you seemed to have configured your mainfile to http://66.225.237.216/~sample/html/
and you are trying to access through
http://prague.servershost.net/~sample/html/

Make both the same (mainfile.php)

Re: trying to build a match making site, need advise

Mine is not exactly matchmaking, but similar (looking for people with your same name).

In order for XOOPS to work for matchmaking you'd probably have to find a module, or hack the core files like I did.

I had to add gender, age, country, name, last name, etc. It wasn't hard, but you do need to know some programming.

If you can wait, in version 2.2 you'll be able to customnize the registration process.

Hope this helps.

Re: Marketing

Thanks. I hope so. I'm just waiting to get a few people registered before I make an announcement in Yaxs.

Re: javascript has been successfully added!

Try
document.location.replace("new address here");

the only problem is that if people click the back button will get two pages back (the new page replaces the old page in the list of pages visted).

Marketing

I made a site (NameZake), and I'm almost ready to launch, but my biggest concern is how to get the word out.

I've registered with google, dmoz, yahoo, and some related directories. But it will be some time before they list me.

Any other suggestions?
