Gimme a couple of days.

Hallo Jan!

Using 2.2.1 and can upgrade to 2.2.2. Shall I?

I tried with the following:

define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://'.$HTTP_HOST);

and also

define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://'.$_SERVER["HTTP_HOST"]);

This may be necessary as I am using subdomains?

Both did not work. Also the standard solution in your module did not work.

Shall I invest more time on it, or is there something new coming up and I better wait...?

Hello!

Thanks for your nice explainatory reply. The laws in Germany are certainly different for that matter...

I am once again surprised with your reply. The module from Mithrandir (Jan Pederson) has one installation of XOOPS and one database. Are you guys developing a totally new Architecture of the multisites with multi-databases? That would be a big chaos as the existing would be using only one database for the multisite.

Thats one more reason why the organisation should wait for the multisite module or feauture. You know, anathor most wanted module or feature I consider is Multi-Language module. It is out there but not possible to simply change by the surfer...

I actually found two developers but am waiting for a reply from them to help us out. They are:

Herko and Mitrandir!

Our organisation and about 3000 members shall be really obliged and pleased. I am more then sure that there is no money. If there was, then I would be the first to grab a small bit of it. But I do see that there wont be in the near on far future !

Hallo!

I did not understand by your term "True Multisites"!

If the associations earned money, they would loose their status of a non-profit associations, by german law.

I try to support a non-profit organisation and have proposed to build a network for them.

The network shall contain information about their activities and community of about 70 cities. This project is currectly put on ice until the "True Multisites" module/feature comes out!!!

That could also be a star Project for Xoops...

Hi!

The problem ist that none of them works, not even the latest you mention! And thats what I meant!!!

This module has never ever worked on my server. I really fail to understand as it does not work on a fresh installation and it did never ever work with any version.

The only thing I can now imagine is that it could be my server that uses includes a file in the httpd.conf for virtual domains.

Can that be true?

Hallo!

I have not been able to make it work on any of the known stable versions of Xoops!

The most disappointing thing after waiting for months is the announcement that this particular module, recognised as "wanted and favorite" module, shall be developed in the coming version of 2.5/2.6!

Hallo!

We would olike to publish articles.

I am looking for a module that does the following:

We have an xls database with fields. We would like to create custom fields and make them field searcheable! hence, the surfer would be able to search only in that particular field. The field name would be dynamically generated.

Also we would like to have pre-programmed keywords to enter into fields. I am thinking of showing a javascript preprogrammed browser.

Is there any module that can meet somewhere near to our requirements?

At the end we wanna publish articles in different categories. A multicat module with the same article would be a possibility.

Thanks in advance.

Hallo Jan!

I hav'nt had the time to install two sub-domains for testing and create a seperate account as I had very important meeting and presentation until last night.

I should be able to make it today and send you the login details by PM.

When you are planning to bring out an update anyway, it would be better to have a look to my installation to see where things are happening wrong.

By this some changes could be made in your new future version of this lovely multi website module.

Thanks soo much for your attention.

Hallo Jan!

Thanks for your promt response.

I found out. The problem has nothing to do with multisite or anything else. It did work before, with an "empty installation but not after installing the modules, namely profile and multisite.

I was entering two words with a space in between. Than it would not create a field! If there is a space in the Name, it won'nt create the field name!! Obviously!!!

I was simply confused with the Label of the Name in the form. I saw in the phpmyadmin what was happening and quickly figured out the confusion.

There is NO BUG! There is just a confusion for people that did not use it before. I would suggest to change the following:

Name >>> field_name
Title >>> Form_Title

This would help the beginners or new users.

I should have thought about it actually, before posting this message and taking your precious time to post a line. Pl. excuse me.
