Delete the index.html file.
The server will load the index.html file earlier, and ignore the index.php file.

It's not possible though (or not on an easy way) yet to put ReCAPTCHA in XOOPS ;)

It's the captcha itself: it's already hacked. I've suggested to add ReCAPTCHA though, which would solve this for you ;)

That's a CAPTCHA system that updates when it's hacked.

Open the folder public_html and upload the contents of the htdocs there, maybe it'll work then ;)

I don't think there is a correct ROOT defined in your XOOPS config. Could you check that? (Is the correct URL of your site in the config.php file?)

I got it for free with Trailpay Got both CrossOver Games and CrossOver Office for free both for Linux :)
