I would like to see a better designed XOOPS admin theme. I think some people can be off put by XOOPS because it does not look snazzy in the looks department even though the core might be a lot better than a lot of other CMSs out there.
This is probably is not the place to discuss improving the interface. But has anyone any experience in improving the CSS and design of it? I have recently looked at impress cms and I can see they have made some changes that look better. For example when they bring into focus an editable field then it changes color. Perhaps the colors can also be changed a little bit so it can look a little lighter.
Does anyone have experience in this or have any more ideas how we could improve it. If this can be a forum to suggest practical changes to the admin theme from experienced XOOPS users/developers then I would be happy to invest my time to implement this.

Looks really good. I would be interested to know how much hacking you did to get your site like this? How did you implement the profiles with so many options, and how did you make it possible to add people to favorites and block users.

I am providing an ecommerce solution to a client, so the solution has to be reliable, secure and scaleable. So it's hard to know which to go for.
It would be ideal to combine it with XOOPS as I know it so well now. And combining e-commerce with a CMS in general is certainly very powerful.
I suppose an alternative would be to use subdomains: one for a shop and one for the CMS side of things. And maybe this could be improved by using openID.
Any more ideas anyone?

BTW - I have successfully implemented XOOPS installations with symlinks - so I am able to answer question should anyone have any.

Namely: Zencart, oscommerce, bookshop
Which is better? Is bookshop worth the money?
Are they secure?

Hello All,
I will be needing to send a HTML newsletter to potentially 000s of users. What is the best XOOPS way to do this? Can the News module be used for this, if so, is the best way to create a HTML news story and then send a link to that news story? Or is it also possible to send the actual html news story?
I am aware that some of the dangers are : becoming a blacklisted server.
