Hi,

I just managed a quick look ....

Quote:
in the main menu there are two tiny content entries which both failed.

Yes, these are the ones that are the problem. I don't see why the links in the Tiny Content Menus should work, but those in the main menu give the "Page not found".

Thanks,

Alan

Hi,
Quote:
That the reason why I ask you to check the file size between your Pc and your provider.

Now I understand - and I'd not thought of that.

I'm using an old Windows Comander which doesn't give me the Folder sizes on my Provider. However I can simply try a systematic deinstall/new upload/reinstall of all the problem modules, starting with TCD to see if that makes a difference.

I need to eat something now and have to do other things over the weekend, so I'll only be able to start this on Monday Morning.

I'll let you know if it's helped.

Many thanks once more,

Alan

Hi,

I don't understand why you've had problems - I've just tried:
LogIn "OT"
Pass "tester"
and it worked ...
and I've logged out again.

Please try again

Alan

Hi again,

To your questions:

Quote:
Does your other modules works fine?

- XoopsFAQ, Sections & Partners are ok.
- Tutorials (the link is called "Bisherige Program" in the main menu) appears ok to the user but brings lots of php errors in the administration. I've posted a more detailed help request HERE but have had no answer as yet.
- C-Jay Content (visible after you login), Free Content and wfSections 2 (in between times uninstalled) aren't usable. I've posted a request for help with C-JC in German HERE
but havn't had an answer yet.
Both modules installed "successfully" but gave errors immediately.
I hadn't mentioned these problems in this thread as the errors appear to me to be of a different type to my problems with tiny content. Could there be a common reason?

Quote:
Do you check the directory of TinyContent to verify the file size compare to your PC? Specially index.php under tinycontent directory

I'm not sure what you mean here.
My provider tells me that I've still got something like 40MB free.
When I search the TinyContent index.php file for "size" I get "Not found".

Best Wishes,

Alan

Hi,

embarrassing, embarrassing ...
The correct Pass & Login are:
OT:tester.

I'll answer your questions in a few minutes.

Many Thanks,

Alan

Hi,

thanks for your quick reply.
Quote:
the first link you provide point to the directory tinycontent when the second one point to the directory tinycontent0
- this has more to do with my sloppy writing than the problem itself. As I copied the link adresses, I had two modules working - as at the moment - and mixed the adresses to try to illustrate that I had this problem with both modules - with the end result that people think that something's wrong here.

If you look at my site, you'll see that with both modules the main menu links bring "Page not found" errors. That is both the links:
and:
lead to nirvana.

Thanks,

Alan

Hi,

I posted this cry for help over a week ago HERE but havn't had any reply - I hope I'm not offending anyone when I retry here.

I've problems with TCD, even with only one copy installed and after reinstallation.

When I click on the (main) TCD link in the main menu, I get a "Page not found" error - that is the link "http://mysql.snafu.de:10007//xoops/modules/tinycontent/" isn't found. However, the links from the TCD menu blocks (such as "http://mysql.snafu.de:10007//xoops/modules/tinycontent0/index.php?id=1") work fine.

My permissions seem ok - files in TCD are 644 and folders are 755.

My site is reachable HERE. In between times I've restricted access to my "problem-zones" - you need to log in under:
- OT:tester

And - I almost forgot - my Provider is using:
- Apache 1.3.31 (Unix), mySQL 3.23.58 & PHP 4.3.6.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks,

Alan

Hi,

You could also try the "Sections" Module which comes with Xoops.

Good luck,

Alan

will I be able to save content I put in this version, or will I have to do a complete reinstall when you bring out the next one?

Thanks,

Alan
