For the appointments... couldn't you use a calendar module like PiCal? Each stylist would have their own category... it would be easy to track which stylists were available at a particular time, when they had vacation, when the salon was closed, etc.

As far as a pricing module -- why not just create a custom block? Or use something like wf-channel to create a page with prices?

Just a couple of ideas...

It's not all that hard to install a XOOPS site yourself... I'm a complete n00b and was able to successfully follow the instructions on how to install a new XOOPS site.

Give it a try, you might surprise yourself

(edited to add: Your host might even be able to set it up for you... I know my host charges a small fee to install a new site.)

Hi Hervé,

Actually, I have two sites that I'd like to change this on... one is using the tabbed view, plain skin, topic layout and the other is using the classical display -- both have the spotlight feature enabled. (I'm hoping that's what you meant.)

news 1.3 - moving date in recent news block

I've been staring at the code in the news_block_top.html template for a couple of days now trying to figure out how to make the date appear after the news title in the list of news that comes below the spotlighted article. (Yeah, I know, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer! )

Any hints?

I replaced the original form html in the templates with the following and didn't mess with the city or state fields... works fine for me.
