Thanks for the reply Anne; I ended up going with the "League" module of PHPNuke.

Hmmm... FYI anyone interested in this module; no english files, and runs on e-xoops.

Guess I'll have to go barking up another tree on this one.

Yep, that was it, thanks for the refresher on that info; I knew it existed, I just couldn't find it.

Ain't XOOPS Great?

Sorry, I guess I should be more specific:

- Keep track of multiple teams (in one or more leagues)
- Keep schedule for each game (team vs. team, date, time, notes, status (results available, in progress, not played, etc)
- Possibly have more info for each team (members, 'position', picture, etc)
- Give interesting statistics from recorded information (ie. wins / losses / league leader / etc).

Again, I'm sure this has been done somewhere, I just can't find it. I even saw a project that appeared similar on module dev page, but it appears a dead link...

Thanks
Keith

I was sure I saw a sports team module somewhere in the past, but I've searched everywhere I could think and drew blanks everywhere!

The closest I found was:
http://www.inconnueteam.net/modules/Gametiger/

And this appears to be in dev / not used (and while I'm Canadian, mon Francaise ces't tres horrible!).

Can anyone direct me to some options currently available or some initiatives underway? Also, if it just DNE for Xoops, can anyone point me to either a stand-alone or other portalling system that could accomidate?

Thanks
Keith

I believe he's saying that if you already have xoopsgallery installed and you upload this fix, you'll need to refresh the templates in order to see the change in the display. I'm not positive how templates work on the inside, but I can tell you that "SMARTY" is XOOPS template manager, and when a module is installed, smarty takes all the templates in the module/templates folder, copies them to a new location, and references them in the database. This means that if you try to simply upload a new template it won't show up (since smarty's templates are stored and referenced elsewhere). So, in order to change a template, you either have to:

a) upload it the normal way, then update the module (I'm pretty shure this should do it), or

b) go into the template manager (admin->System->templates) and modify the "Gallery" template file using the utility found there... of course, in order to modify the templates using the online tool, you'll need to clone the default template (you can modify ANY template except the default one).

Hope I did more help than confuse!

These look like good hacks, and I hope they're included in the next xoopsgallery release.
