You might consider a Games and Amusement section. I put a couple from spacedesign.nu one one of my sites and the users think it is great. No doubt there are lots of others out there.

It was 2.2.4 originally. I upgraded to 2.3.1 and discovered the problem then. That started this thread. I just upgraded from 2.3.1 to 2.3.2b.

No debug errors.

If I turn on the smarty debug, I get information that is meaningless to me.

Database block_type is "char(1)" and the value for the block type is "C".

I am facing the same problem still after upgrade to 2.3.2b.

No need to edit the custom blocks for a while. Today when I went to edit a block showing up fine on the site, there is no content, just the title of the block.

/modules/system/admin.php?fct=blocksadmin&op=edit&bid=7

* XOOPS Version: XOOPS 2.3.2b
* PHP Version: 4.4.4
* MySQL Version: 4.1.22-standard
* Server API Version: cgi
* OS Version: Linux
* safe_mode: Off
* register_globals: On
* magic_quotes_gpc: On
* allow_url_fopen: On
* fsockopen: On
* allow_call_time_pass_reference: On
* post_max_size: 64M
* max_input_time: 100
* output_buffering:
* max_execution_time: 100
* memory_limit:
* file_uploads: On
* upload_max_filesize: 64M

I have updated the system module with no effect. Does the change suggested by brau present any issues?

Is there another solution?

Thanks. Having checked that, I have the same comment. New install of 2.3.2b just says 2.3.2.

Or does this indicate that something just didn't go right?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but after upgrading to 2.3.2b, it was a little disappointing to see still just a "2" under the system module.
Would it not be better if an upgrade reflected 2.3.2b there now?

You can check here to see if there is a solution for you.
I ended up re-creating the custom blocks and haven't had a problem since.

Seems that my idea isn't out of line, so I'll sit and wait. A cron job is beyond my skills even if I have access. I just thought it might be a useful feature.

I would like to be able to set up a few themes to either rotate or be applied on a schedule such as different themes for different holidays.

I could set up the different looks in advance and on the dates specified, they would change.

I would like to hear ideas regarding how best to keep track of multiple installations of XOOPS. I have graduated to the level of just enough knowledge to be dangerous and find myself with multiple sites at various stages of development and upgrade.

My fault and my mess to sort out but to avoid a repeat performance, I would like to know the best way to track what actions have been taken on a site. What upgrades have been applied, what hacks, modifications etc.

Is there a best practice, a XOOPS module that I don't know about?

Is maintaining a changelog text file in the root folder a good idea?

I installed from the update package originally and then used the files in the whole package to overwrite the ones you mentioned.

Obviously I've missed something somewhere. I'll give it another go.

Thanks for the advice.
