All I know is that I have stayed away from all versions higher then 2.16 because of the login problems. 2.16 works fine for all my members, 2.17 and 2.18 are a disaster in that perspective unfortunately. So it is my guess you have to search in that direction...

Yep, there was a hack for the xm memberstats module made by m0nty and included in the comments for the profile and photo hack. However, the link is dead and I think he doesn't have the hack anymore. Also, it required the user to enter a birthday on a calendar when registering and that appears not to work smoothly on version 3.0.16 and up, at least that is my experience. I am now using the birthday module that requires the user to separately enter his/her birthday and it will be shown in a block on the actual date. birthday module

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16 with wfdownloads 3.1. Post_max_size and upload_max_filesize are set to 35Mb. So far so good, people can upload their works of 25Mb without problem.
The problem starts when trying to download. It downloads but delivers an empty file, no matter what extension. Is there anything I miss?

I found something that might help although I can't solve it:

In IE7 you get the red cross image for a missing image beside the buttontext. When rightclicking that and selecting " properties you get the following:

"http://yourhomeclass/xoopseditor/path to image"

Now the problem is that the slash between between the home and class is missing. I suppose getting that right will solve the problem. I'm trying to find it but so far no luck...Maybe a die hard can just point me to the right place....

In the included readme.html you will find this:

"There is a minor requirement to make this thing go.
Add the following to your header.php (XOOPS 2.0.x) or bottom of common.php (XOOPS 2.2.x) file located in the root of XOOPS

// for stats by XOOPS@IBDeeming!
include_once XOOPS_ROOT_PATH.'/modules/statistics/include/hitcounter.php';

for XOOPS 2.0.x
at the top of the file header.php under the line
include_once XOOPS_ROOT_PATH.'/class/xoopsblock.php';
for XOOPS 2.2.x
at the bottom of the file include/common.php under the line
$xoopsLogger->context = "module";
but before the last ' } ' (curly brace) "

Did you do that?
