No, I am afraid that is not the problem, the folder that I use is the correct one, specifically this is the directory:
C:\AppServ\www\xoops-2.0.18\htdocs\modules\news, and inside the folder news are the php files and the other subfolders, such as admin, blocks, class, include etc. That is why I don't understand what I am doing wrong..

Hello, I am a new developer and I've just started experimenting with Xoops, I must say I find it very interesting. But I have a problem concerning modules installation. While some modules have been installed successfully, such as "Content", "liaise" and "bmsurvey", when I try to install modules such as "news", "planet", "wikimod" and others, they don't appear on the administration panel. What I do is I copy the folder "news" in the folder /modules. What I don't understand is why, since I am doing the same thing for all the modules, some appear on the administration panel and some don't?And how can I make the ones that don't appear to appear?Thank you very much in advance!
